Abstract:
Making change in the fire service remains a monumental task for most fire service instructors. The initiation and implementation of change is seldom if ever welcomed with open arms. The ingredient for success lies in vision-oriented leadership, training, and individual empowerment. This high-energy, high impact address will provide a unique insight into the roles and responsibilities of the fire service instructor while emphasizing the power of progressive based training and instructional influence.

Abstract:
This address has been designed and developed for graduating recruits who are set to enter the workforce as sworn firefighters. This high-energy, high Impact address will not only motivate incumbent firefighters, but also provide them with five steps on how to achieve success throughout their careers including: the three P's of prevention, protection and professionalism, how to develop respect, the need to be inquisitive about the job, the role of dedication, determination, and passion, and finally the importance of exercise and education for career longevity and forward progression.
